MY STORY

THE STUDIO

Every piece begins as an original hand-drawn artwork, created using sustainable and eco-conscious materials. From painting and design to packaging and posting, everything is done by hand.

Bandia Studio exists to offer meaningful alternatives to fast fashion and mass-produced design by creating art-led products that are made to last, feel personal, and support ethical production.

All designs are created by the artist, Théa Murray, either through traditional drawing or digital illustration, and products are produced in small batches.

THE ARTIST

Théa Murray is a contemporary artist working in pen and ink, watercolour, and digital illustration, creating detailed animal portraits alongside mythology-inspired paintings. Her work balances careful observation with symbolism, exploring vulnerability, resilience, and the quiet defiance of existing on one’s own terms.

Her pen and ink work is characterised by expressive linework and splattered textures, a practical adaptation to intermittent tremors that has become a defining part of her visual language. Rather than discarding pieces or starting again, these moments are incorporated into the work, allowing movement, imperfection, and honesty to remain visible.

Alongside traditional media, Théa also works digitally using Procreate, allowing her to develop designs with the same hand-drawn approach before bringing them into physical form as prints and products.

In contrast, her watercolour paintings draw inspiration from mythology, religion, and classical sculpture. Works such as Temptation and Delphine reflect an interest in how bodies, particularly feminine ones, have been idealised and interpreted throughout history.

Supported by her assistance dog, Théa regularly exhibits at markets and events.
